First cruise was booked by a general travel agent in bunk beds on Holland America old Rotterdam in 1986. I knew there was a better way! We started our cruise business in 1994 as a franchise and evolved into our own brand and joined the Ensemble Travel Group consortium in 2002. As co-owner of Cruise Vacations along with my wife Karen, we have grown to become Winnipeg’s premier cruise only travel agency. I love to deliver top notch cruise experiences to folks that are delighted with their experience. One of my favorite times was in Costa Rica with a group of ranchers when we visited a cattle ranch and one of our guests showed the ranch owner how we “auction” cattle back in Canada. It was a gift to everyone that witnessed the “auction”. I have travelled to over 80 countries on upwards of 100 cruises. I have experienced virtually every cruise line ocean and many river lines. I know people tell me they would prefer to spend a month or two to fully immure themselves in a country, Truth be known they, never will. They don’t have what we all cherish. Time. I prefer to experience as much of the world as I can while I can. I really want to travel to India and the Amazon in my future experiences.
